Bioculum



BIOCULUM is a mixture of CULTURES OF MICRO ORGANISMS specifically developed for accelerated aerobic composting of organic waste. It contains cultures of bacteria, fungi and actinomycites along with enzymes, which facilitate bio conversion of organic waste into a bio stabilized compost speedily. It is free from any toxic or hazardous material.

How does it help in the better management of bio-degradable solid waste?

It is suitable for all kinds of organic waste generated by Hotels, Canteens and Restaurant, Slaughterhouse, Municipalities, Food Processing Units, Households, and in agriculture operation. This waste represents a very valuable source of organic matter nutrients. By proper composting, it can be converted into a very rich source of stable organic manure rich in nutrients. The finished product can be used in lawns, nurseries or in farmer's fields. It is suitable for application as bioorganic soil enricher in Agriculture/Horticulture crops.

Product Packing and Storage Details

Bioculum is available in I Kg & 5 Kg LDPE and 25 Kg HDPE bag. Bioculum should be stored away from direct sunlight and in a dry place within the temperature range of 10°C to 40°C. The shelflife of the product is one year.

Application Method


   Recommended dosage is lkg for IMT of organic waste.

   If the waste is soggy, then sprinkle the powder directly on the waste and mix it thoroughly. If the waste is dry, prepare a slurry using water 30 Itr of water per 1kg of Bioculum and then spray on to the waste. After mixing, the treated waste may be arranged in the from of a heap. For better results, keep width of the heap as 3 to 4 mtrs and height upto 2 mtrs.

   Turn the heap upside down every week for proper aeration.

   Moisture level of the heap should be maintained upto 40%. If necessary, spray water in between to maintain the moisture level.

   If temperature does not rise above 60°C during the first week of heap formation, add Bioculum at the rate of half the earlier dosage during first turning.

   Under normal conditions, composting process will be complete within 4-6 weeks.

   During monsoon, the waste may be treated and stored under a shed.
